Architect
Architect, Westbury, NY: Prepare scale drawings, architectural drawings, and 3D Renderings a must using computer-aided design and software tools. Consult with clients to determine functional or spatial requirements of structures. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications,
materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time. Integrate engineering elements into unified architectural designs. Plan layouts of structural architectural projects. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Masters in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related with one year of experience.

Associate Architect/Designer
Zicana is seeking an associate architect/designer who wants to grow with our team.
The associate architect/designer will be at the center of design and fabrication of all projects.
Their design and project management skills will be a vital asset to the company which will open more opportunities to be creative.
The architect/designer must have a good work ethic, communication, show competence, and be able to work independently and efficiently.
The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Conduct daily estimations from existing drawings for quoting and fabrication
Create CAD drawings for clients and fabrication
Design furniture and interior spaces for clients and products
Work with sales team to offer technical knowledge
Measure project spaces for drawings and fabrication
Required Skills
- 1-2+ working experience in architecture, interior design, and/or furniture design
- Proficient in AutoCAD and reviewing architectural drawings
- Surveying experience
- Excellent writing and verbal communication
- Computer experience (Excel, Microsoft Word, sending emails, etc.)
- Able to commute to our office in Westbury, NY
- Education
A certification or more in architectural/interior design or related degree - 3D CAD knowledge/experience a plus (Sketchup, Rhino, etc.)
